YOUNGSTER Ryan Blake has been promoted to Brentford's first-team squad.
The talented trainee has featured in all the Bees friendlies so far, and started in the 0-0 draw at Aldershot on Saturday.
And boss Andy Scott reckons the left-back has a bright future in the game.
He said: "Ryan's one who I knew about last season as a first year [YTS]. He came to Spain with us and fitted in fantastically well.
"He'll be training with the first team every day, and playing in the reserves. He'll only play FA Youth Cup games.
"Ryan's got a squad number now, and I imagine that if we were in League Two then he would be someone we could rely on.
"We'll see how he develops. It's a great opportunity for him, and I think he's got a bright future."
