BRENTFORD have handed a trial to former QPR and Portsmouth keeper Liam O'Brien .
The 21-year-old has been training with the Bees with view to earning a deal after being released by Barnet at the end of the season.
O'Brien started his career at Loftus Road and was linked with Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United before joining Pompey for an undisclosed fee.
However, he failed to establish himself at Fratton Park and was loaned out to Eastbourne Borough.
O'Brien left the south coast club and joined Barnet in January 2011, making 23 appearances for the north Londoners.
And the Ruislip-based keeper is now the latest in a long string of shot-stoppers to try his luck at Griffin Park over the past few months.
