BRENTFORD defender Jake Bidwell faces a long spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
The former Everton full-back was left on crutches wearing a protective boot after a tackle by Gillingham striker Danny Kedwell in the opening stages of Saturday's 1-1 draw.
Bidwell had a scan earlier this week and saw a specialist yesterday to determine the full extent of the damage.
And boss Uwe Rosler confirmed the Bees will be without the youngster for this weekend's clash with Walsall and the foreseeable future.
The manager told Bees Player : "Jake will be out for quite some time.
"He's never been injured since he was 15 and had a long run of football.
"Unfortunately that ended with a nasty tackle and will take some time [to recover]."
