BRENTFORD are still tracking former Ipswich Town centre-back Pim Balkestein despite bringing in three defenders last week.

Bees boss Andy Scott boosted his backline with the arrivals Craig Woodman , Mickey Spillane and  David McCracken before they headed off for their pre-season training camp in Portugal on Monday.

But Scott is still in the market for Balkestein, who is back in his native Netherlands weighing up his options.

He said: “We are still looking at Pim, who has a few options both here and abroad, and we should get an answer in the next few weeks.”
