BRENTFORD striker Nicky Forster has confirmed he will not return to playing after missing out on the manager's job at Griffin Park.
The 37-year-old former Reading frontman has been in charge in TW8 since Andy Scott's departure in February, but has been ruled out of the running for the post on a permanent basis.
Forster, who still has a year to run on his contract, told the Gazette last week that he was set for talks with the club about his future, but admitted he was unlikely to return to the dressing room.
And Foz has now confirmed he has hung up his boots for good.
He said: "I have had a fantastic career but the time has come to cross over into management.
"I've scored 200 goals in 700 games and haven't got anything left to achieve as a player, so I want to concentrate on management."
