BRENTFORD will give Richard Lee another chance to stake a claim for the shirt in next week's clash with League One leaders Leyton Orient.

With David Button suspended, the keeper made his first appearance for more than eight months in Saturday's win at Tranmere following a long lay-off with a shoulder injury.

Bees boss Uwe Rosler paid tribute to the 30-year-old after the game and confirmed he will start the televised London derby with Orient.

He said: “It was a gamble to play him, but when I talk about mental strength and experience Richard has that.

“He had not played for eight months and only trained five times, so to come here and perform the way he did was great. We trust his qualities.

“He played very well under the circumstances – I couldn't ask for any more than that.

“We have another week to train before the next game. He will be in goal.”
