ANDY Scott hopes to have two more new players signed, sealed and delivered by the end of the week.

The Brentford boss said before last week’s training week in Portugal that he hoped to bring in four or five new signings by the start of the season.

And one of the two he is set to sign imminently could well be Toumani Diagouraga , who had a successful loan spell with the Bees last season.

Scott has been chasing the French midfielder all summer, but his valuation of the player fails to match Peterborough’s.

However, Diagouraga was among the crowd for Kevin O’Connor ’s testimonial game on Wednesday night, and told the Gazette he had been in for a medical.

Scott would not confirm this, but instead said: "We’ve spoken to Peterborough a lot of times about Toumani as he did very well for us last season, but the numbers still don’t add up for us.

“But I’m still looking to add a few more to the squad, and hope to have two more signings completed by the end of this week."
