BRENTFORD boss Uwe Rosler has challenged midfielder Adam Forshaw to add more goals to his game.

The former Everton midfielder bagged just three in 53 games last campaign, but opened his account for the new season with a superb strike in the 3-1 win against Sheffield United this afternoon.

And Rosler reckons the youngster is answering his call to contribute more in the final third.

He said: “Adam had a fantastic season in his first full year of football.

“I felt he needed more end product in terms of creating chances and scoring goals.

“He set himself a target and he took his goal really well.

“Jake Bidwell made the run to take the defender away, which allowed Adam to get his shot in.”

Will Grigg also got off the mark with a brace, but missed the chance to claim the matchball after seeing a late penalty well saved.

Rosler added: “It was tough for him against two defenders, but his intelligence and movement was excellent. He got his reward.”
