BRENTFORD are running the rule over Leicester City youngsters Joe Jones and Louis Tambini.

The pair are training with the Bees after being told they won't be offered new deals at the Walkers Stadium.

Northern Irish centre-back Jones attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool before being snapped up by the Foxes, but has failed to earn a pro deal at the Championship club.

Attacker Tambini is also hoping to impress at Griffin Park after failing to make the grade at Leicester.

He has already spent a time on trial at Port Vale, and featured for their reserves against Gateshead earlier this week.

Bees head of academy Ose Aibangee (pictured) said: “We're going through a process of looking at a number of players with a view to next season.

“Over the next two or three weeks we will draw up a list of who we want to offer contracts to.

"But we're not going to sign players just for the sake of it. They must be better than what we already have.”

Brentford are still casting an eye over West Ham keeper Jake Larkins and Arsenal midfielder Josh Rees , but William Ekong has returned to Spurs.
