BRENTFORD have rubbished reports linking star striker Clayton Donaldson with a move away from Griffin Park.

The former Crewe frontman smashed 24 goals last season and is reportedly attracting attention from a string of clubs.

MLS outfits DC United and Houston Dynamo are the latest sides to be linked with a move for the 29-year-old, who is entering the final 12 months of his deal.

However, Bees sporting director Mark Warburton insists the west Londoners have no intention of letting the goal-getter leave the club.

He said: “We have had zero contact. Clayton is a valuable asset and has been an exceptional player for us.

“We have no interest in selling players like Clayton Donaldson.”
