BRENTFORD boss Uwe Rosler hopes to give Greg Dyke the perfect send off by winning promotion to the Championship.

The Bees chief will leave his role at Griffin Park this summer to take over as the Football Association's chairman.

Rosler hopes Brentford can give Dyke the best leaving present by beating Yeovil Town in Sunday's play-off final at Wembley.

He said: “I remember the moment he called to tell me – I thought I was going to get sacked!

“He said 'I have to tell you something' and I expected the worse, but he told me he was going to leave for the FA.

“I should've been very happy for him, but I was sad and disappointed he was leaving us because I had a very close relationship with him.

“We regularly met each other and always felt I could call him if I needed something, so to lose him was difficult.

“But after I realised what he had achieved I called him back to say 'well done'.

“If we as a group could give him the present of promotion it would be fantastic.”
