BRENTFORD'S back four are so full of confidence they don't need tips on how to stop Yeovil's frontmen on Boxing Day.
So says Charlie MacDonald, who played alongside the Glovers' Dean Bowditch when the former Ipswich man was on loan at Brentford.
MacDonald also watched from the sidelines as another striker now at Huish Park, Sam Williams, was brought in to replace him when he dislocated his shoulder that same season.
“ I didn't see so much of Sam Williams, but their main threat will be Dean Bowditch, who I played with during his loan spell here - and while he didn’t score many, he contributed so much.
“ But I don’t need to tell our lads at the back how to cope with Deano as they’ve coped well with most of the forwards we’ve come up against this season, including some Premiership ones.
"They're playing full of confidence at the moment, and Richard Lee behind them is in the form of his life.
“It’s a good time to be playing Yoevil, with them bottom of the league and our away form being so good. Then it’s Tranmere at home, and I don’t think our home form has been as bad as has been made out.
"The MK Dons defeat wasn’t great, but we had two goals disallowed. The first would have put us 1-0 up, and would have made it a different game.”
