Ickenham 148 all out Wycombe House 152-7 Ickenham lost by three wickets

POOR batting was to blame as Ickenham slumped to a second succesive league defeat against Wycombe House.

Batting first, the visitors struggled to 59-6 before an important partnership between Indie Abhayawickrama (52) and Paul Sims (34) helped them post 148.

But despite some impressive bowling from Ickenham's spinners, the hosts eased home with three wickets to spare.

At Oak Avenue, the seconds enjoyed better fortunes with a four-wicket win against Shepherd's Bush.

After restricting the visitors to 224, Ickenham raced to the total, with two players claiming half-centuries.

The thirds made 172-9 to share the spoils with Shepherd's Bush, while the fourth team lost by 75 runs to Queensbury.

The fifths suffered a heavy eight-wicket defeat to Berkhampstead.
