Losing draw for British Airways
BIG hitter Mohammed Azizi shook off an injury to hit the run which helped ensure British Airways held on for a draw in their against Tring Park seconds on Saturday.
Tring won the toss and elected to bat on a slow flat wicket, and despite the best efforts of Azizi (4-40) and Amais Choudhary (3-55), were able to reach 227 before being bowled out.
In reply, BA lost two early wickets to put the pressure right on, before a solid partnership of 83 between Raza Bukhari (56) and captain Chaz Virdee (33) got them back on track.
It was left to Azizi, batting with a runner, to smash his way to a quick-fire 48 to keep BA in it, and after his wicket fell BA just about battled to a draw.
