ASHFORD Bowling Club ladies left West Ealing reeling on Saturday.

They upset the odds with a brilliant 38-26 win to progress to the next round in the Middlesex Ladies Double Rink competition.

The away team scraped an 18-16 victory and the home side cruised to a 20-10 win to dump Ealing out of the tournament.

The same day Ashford's men shared the spoils in their first-ever league clash with Hampton, who won two rinks to Ashford's one, but the sides each took two points from the Richmond & Barnes League clash. J Gammon, G Aylott, M Larman and David Ayton top-scored for Ashford with 33-5.

A day later Ashford won all five rinks in a mixed match against Windsor Great Park.

Dennis Ayton, A Anderson, S Wood and K Woodhead top-scored with 30-15 as Ashford won 115-80.

This week began with a 95-35 win at Iver Heath for the midweek men's team, with a best rink score of 33-5 by A Blair, Dennis Ayton and W Cox.
