CHRIS Arthur can rule the left flank at AFC Wimbledon, according to manager Neal Ardley.

Arthur came off the bench to help the Dons complete a second-half turnaround against 10-man Burton Albion on Saturday.

The former QPR youngster rampaged up and down the left touchline under instructions from his boss and was influential in securing the three points with a 3-1 win over the Brewers.

Ardley was delighted to see the substitute carry out his second-half action plan to the letter and says the 23-year-old can achieve great things if he keeps a positive frame of mind.

“He can play both and he can play wing back,” Ardley said of Arthur.

“Chris will be the first to tell you that he's got loads of stuff to do and we're working on him.

“I was like his remote-control today helping him out and telling him what to do. It was great to have him down my side of the pitch because we could keep getting him into good positions.

“We had to keep encouraging him to be brave. I told him to enjoy going at them.

“When my staff and I get put him a positive frame of mind you look at him and think 'I'd hate to mark him'.”

Arthur will be pushing for a start at Cheltenham next Saturday on the back of his starting role against Burton.
