GAVIN Hoyte has given the green light to extend his stay at AFC Wimbledon – if Terry Brown wants him.

The Arsenal defender has made two appearances for the Dons since his loan switch to Kingsmeadow last month.

Hoyte, who has also had temporary spells at Watford, Brighton and Lincoln, is way down the pecking order at the Emirates.

And the 21-year-old admits he would be happy to extend his time with the League Two club.

He said: “The loan's going well. Unfortunately the two games I've been involved in we've lost, but I think you've got to take the positives out of it.

“It's good to be out playing games. It's much better than playing reserve-team football as it's more competitive and about winning and getting results.

“I would be willing to stay if the manager wants me and we'll go from there. I've just got to work hard to get myself back in the side.”
