Oxshott resident Andy Murray is due to compete in the Wimbledon semi-finals today (July 8).
He faces Tomas Berdych with the final in his sights for Sunday.
The 29-year-old will hope to repeat his Wimbledon win of 2013, and was in seemingly high spirits earlier in the tournament when he stopped for a selfie with a bunch of police officers.
Get Surrey visited Oxshott Village Sports Club ahead of Friday's game, home of Oxshott Tennis Club where Andy himself sometimes plays.
According to members, he occasionally lands in his helicopter at the club and is well respected by the juniors.
They were full of well wishes and encouragement for Andy, saying they hope he wins the trophy again.
Last year, the team at Oxshott Village Sports Club sent congratulations to Andy on his wedding day to Kim Sears.
