THE only hairdryer Carlo Ancelotti uses is the one that blows his silver locks into place.
The Chelsea manager admitted the infamous changing room antics of the man he must now face in the Champions League quarter-final are not for him.
But for all that, it’s hoped the tables in the Stamford Bridge changing room are made of sterner stuff than one at Parma when Ancelotti was in charge there in the late 90s.
Even the seemingly mild-mannered Italian once lost his rag, and karate style smashed the table with one hand.
He joked the table was then thrown at a player, but Ancelotti claims the only time he was sent off in his career was at Juventus where in Serie A they appear to have referees who don’t just hear insults – Italian officials have supernatural powers.
The Blues manager explained: "I was sent off one time at Juventus not because of what I said – but because the referee read my mind."
But despite Sir Alex Ferguson’s touchline ban as a result of comments about the referee made the last time he was the Bridge, the Italian has a lot of time for the man in the other technical area on April 6.
Ancelotti said: "I told him (Sir Alex) I liked the humility he showed every time he won a trophy. I have a lot of respect for him – and he has always given me trouble. I was disappointed he was banned for five games – I don’t think he deserved it."
