KAMARON English has agreed terms over a move to Hayes & Yeading United following his release from Championship outfit Watford.

The energetic winger was released by the Hornets this summer after coming through the ranks at the Vicarage Road club.

He was a regular in Dave Hughes’ Watford U18s last term in the Youth Alliance South East Division, but failed to earn a new contract.

Watford confirmed his departure early last month and United manager Phil Babb has wasted little time in moving for the out-of-contract teenager.

A verbal agreement is in place and the paperwork is set to be completed later this week, along with the formalities of former Bradford City striker Luke Medley’s registration.

Both deals had been held up while the club waited for director of football Tony O’Driscoll to return from his holiday in the United States.

The new signings will give United added options going forward, however Hayes & Yeading still need to bring in fresh blood at the back.

The Gazette revealed last week that former Farnborough goalkeeper Craig Bradshaw was being considered for the role as new United number one after the club missed out on Louis Wells.

Bradshaw is still training with the club, but he is now competing for the shirt with much-travelled stopper Ashley Harris .

Harris has been on the books of many clubs on the non-league circuit and his CV includes stints at Northwood and Enfield Town.

Meanwhile, Babb this week missed out on the signature of former AFC Wimbledon youngster Huw Johnson .

The 20-year-old had been training under Babb at Beaconsfield Road and the United boss had been hopeful of finalising a deal last week.

But Johnson has opted for a reunion with Dons legend Marcus Gayle at Conference South rivals Staines Town, who he worked with during his time at Kingsmeadow.
