International sport is coming to Fulham when it hosts the annual Chestertons Polo in the Park tournament this summer.

England will take on a South American team at Hurlingham Park on June 5 to kick off the event, in a game which sees the national side return to the venue for the first time since 1939.

The match is the first of this year’s Chestertons Polo in the Park, which runs until June 7, and sees Sport of Kings played at the Fulham venue in the heart of London.

South America currently dominates the sport with, the current top 10 ranked players in the world coming from Argentina or Uruguay.

England international player, George Meyrick is looking forward to taking on the South American all-stars.

He said: “This will be undoubtedly a fantastic match. The South American side will be made up of some seriously strong players.

"However, an England team in front of a home crowd should never be underestimated.

"It’s going to be one of the highlight polo matches of this season.”
