Michael Peacock's 69th minute strike took Northwood to victory at Enfield Town last night (Wednesday 18/2) and strengthened their Ryman League Division One North play-off hopes.
This was the Woods second away win in four days and moved them in to fourth spot in the table as they continued their impressive run under new boss Dave Anderson - they are now unbeaten in 12 matches including nine victories.
Woods had to battle hard for the three points at mid-table Enfield, who fielded former Hillingdon Borough defender Rob Fitzgerald, currently on loan from League One Yeovil Town.
Northwood now face successive away games at Aveley, East Thurrock and Waltham Abbey which will severely test their promotion credentials.
