UXBRIDGE last night completed the signing of Abingdon United's Simon Goodhram to complete a double swoop by manager Tony Choules.
Midfielder Goodhram joins Martin Skipp, who has signed from Hemel Hempstead Town, as new recruits at Honeycroft as Choules sets about revamping his squad with next season in mind.
Uxbridge's move for Goodhram had collapsed recently when he failed to sign within a deadline set down by Choules to complete his signature, but the midfielder has now made a U-turn and signed on the dotted line after the 2-0 Middlesex Senior Cup semi-final victory over Northwood.
This Saturday's home match against Goodhram's old club Abingdon United may come too soon for him to make his debut.
Meanwhile, Choules admits he faces a battle to keep cup hero O'Toole at the club after his two goals downed Northwood last night.
“There has been some interest in him from other clubs in the same division,” he said. “I would like to think that he will go on and play at a higher level if he can curb his discipline, which has been a problem for him, but we do not want to lose him for next season.”
