Playing their first match for more than two weeks Uxbridge went down 2-1 at Paulton Rovers in the British Gas Business League Division One South and West last night (Monday 16/2).

Uxbridge started brightly and it was against the run of play that Paulton went ahead on 28 minutes through Tom Knighton. The home side then doubled that lead 10 minutes later when Josh Jefferies fired home.

However, the Reds were back in the game within a minute when defender Melvyn Baptiste headed home from a free kick.

The second half saw Uxbridge push hard for an equaliser but despite going close on several occasions they could not salvage a point and remain in 11th spot - one place behind local rivals AFC Hayes.
