Hayes and Yeading United moved up to eighth spot in the Blue Square Conference South after a thrilling 3-2 win at Hampton & Richmond Borough on Monday.

This was United's third successive win and followed a 1-0 success over Bishop's Stortford on Saturday at Church Road.

United fell behind to an 18th minute John  Scarborough goal at Hampton but then took control as Ram Marwa with goals in the 36th and 80th minute and a first half Josh Scott penalty put them 3-1 ahead.

However, Hampton substitute Ben Wright scored four minutes from time to set up a nervous finish for United who also lost goalkeeper Delroy Preddie and defender Danny Page-Allen with injuries during the match.
