Hayes and Yeading United boss Garry Haylock has snapped up two former Wycombe Wanderers players ahead of the new Blue Square Conference South season.

Tom Cudmore and Steven Gregory who spent three months on loan at Church Road last season from the League Two side have signed contracts with United.

Both played in last Friday's 2-1 pre-season win over a QPR XI.

Teenage midfield player Toby Little has also signed a new contract for the coming season having made a big impression last term with the first team.

Some quick thinking has salavaged a friendly for United on Saturday after original opponents Cambridge City this week withdrew from the planned match.

United will now face Blue Square North side Soli-hull Moors, who like H&Y merged last season linking up with Moor Green.

The match will take place at Solihull's Damson Park with a 3pm kick off.

Haylock's side kick off the new league season on August 9 with a home match against newly promoted Chelmsford City.

On Wednesday, August 6 Haylock will face the fans in a special question and answer session at the Church Road clubhouse (8pm).

Supporters will have the chance to quiz the boss, and possibly several players, about hopes for the new Blue Square season.
