THE road to Wembley involved a few pile-ups on Tuesday night before Tigers bypassed the wreckage in the 92 nd minute.

Even then Jose Huender dos Santos felt his heart skip a beat when the Enfield keeper got a hand to his penalty kick but only palmed it onto the underside of the bar before it bounced down and in.

A minute earlier Jack Dallander became the second visitor to have a red card waved in his face when his boot in the box was late into the head of Kye Hendrix as the Tigers attacker stumbled.

The Enfield midfielder lasted a lot longer than sub Chetin Ali who had been on the pitch two minutes before his late lunge on Emmanuel Njodzeka reduced the north London side to 10.

There were five yellow cards as well, three to Enfield while Bamba Kavanly’s tackle from behind and Yousef Elterfi’s squabble when the Tigers defender got into a bit of afters also added to a column of bad boys in the ref’s notebook.

Tigers were 1-0 after 14 minutes but Pedro Cotelo rose highest at the back post to head home Terry Whitman’s corner for the leveller.

Enfield had already scored one in identical fashion after just four on the clock despite the fact Friday’s first installment was a dull 0-0 affair.

The Maida Vale club is now away to St Margaretsbury on Saturday week (August 31).
