QPR have been linked with a loan move for the man they sold to Southampton just nine months ago.

Reports suggest Charlie Austin is wanted by both Everton and Hoops after failing to win a regular spot at St Mary's since his £4 million move in the January transfer window.

New Toffees gaffer Ronald Koeman bought Austin in the first place, and is clearly in pole position should the move come about.

It would boost Chelsea's chances of re-signing former Blues striker Romelu Lukaku from the Merseyside club.

Meanwhile, Wigan are rumoured to want James Perch back on loan.

The defender joined Rangers last summer from Latics, but is currently keeping the bench warm, with Nedum Onuoha and Jake Bidwell preferred in the right and left back spots.
