Brentford striker Lasse Vibe has joked that the Danes are taking over at Griffin Park after the Bees signed Henrik Dalsgaard.

The right back will join the club when the transfer window opens in June and has joined for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old, who has been capped three times by his country, has become Brentford's first summer signing.

He is also the third Dane in the playing squad after Lasse Vibe and Andreas Bjelland. Co-director of football Rasmus Ankersen and coach Thomas Frank are also from Denmark.

And Vibe joked that pre-match meetings will take place at Joe and the Juice, a Danish company, next season.

He wrote on Twitter: “A big and warm welcome to my fellow countryman Henrik Dalgaard Prematch is at Joe and the Juice next season #WeAreTakingOver”

Head coach Dean Smith was delighted to capture a target he has scouted for a long time.

He said: “Henrik is a player that we have been looking at for some time and someone we believe can improve the squad.

"We have watched him quite a few times and we like his qualities on the pitch. We also believe he has the right character to fit in to the squad and help us improve. I am looking forward to working with him next season."
