Wealdstone’s Jerome Okimo is following Tom Pett to Stevenage this week.

Pett joined the League Two side in June and is set for a reunion with his old Stones pal Okimo after the classy full-back finalised a move to Boro this morning.

Okimo agreed fresh terms at Grosvenor Vale this summer after helping the club secure promotion to the Conference South last term.

However, the energetic defender has been on trial at Broadhall Way has done enough to secure a deal and the Stones will receive a nominal fee for the transfer, rising based on the player's success.

Okimo arrived at Wealdstone from Chalfont St Peter in the summer of 2013, proving a vital cog in Gordon Bartlett’s Ryman Premier title-winning side.

Bartlett said: "We are all delighted for Jerome who thoroughly deserves to be a pro.

"At 26, he probably felt his chance had gone but his attitude, pace, strength and all round qualities were a massive part of our title winning side last season and it was bound to get noticed.
