Larnell Cole says he would rather play for Inverness Caledonian Thistle right now than Fulham.

The ex-Manchester United and Fulham midfielder's loan north of the border has been extended until the end of the season, and he believes he has far more chance of featuring in the SPL than at the Cottage, as he explained.

“I want to be playing week in, week out and not stop-start," Cole said.

"The gaffer (Richie Foran) has got faith in me which is a good thing to know. I have to try repay that now on the pitch.

“When I was on loan last season, Fulham appointed Slavisa Jokanovic and I didn’t really speak to him, so he doesn’t really know me. Having a manager there that believes in me is always good.

“There was a small bit of uncertainty but I knew the gaffer wanted me to stay. I’m glad to get it sorted.

"I spoke to Fulham and asked them what was happening and they told me they were trying to get it sorted. I got a call from (first-team coach) Scott Kellacher to come back up."

The 23-year-old has spent exactly 10 minutes in a white shirt since he joined Fulham. Ironically that was as a second-half sub against Man U in a 2-2 Premier League draw in February 2014, barely two weeks after his move.

Cole was also loaned to MK Dons and Shrewsbury Town before he fetched up at Inverness.
