QPR are reported to be tracking Stevenage striker Danny Newton ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports by the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old, who is a graduate of Jamie Vardy's V9 academy, signed for the League Two side in the summer and has scored seven goals in 19 appearances.

The striker is also being monitored by Championship side Barnsley and League One MK Dons, who take on the Hoops in the FA Cup third round.

Which players should QPR be looking to offload in the January transfer window?

Ian Holloway will be keen to strengthen his squad in the transfer window with the Hoops sitting just six points above the Championship relegation zone.

Scoring goals has been a major criticism of Holloway's side this term, and with a striker surely top of the shopping list, Newton may well be the kind of signing on the club's radar.
