Like most of his team-mates, Scott Malone enjoyed a fine season for Fulham.

The left-back only missed eight Championship games as the Whites reached the play-offs, missing out on promotion after a semi-final defeat to Reading.

But with the emergence of teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon, who signed his first professional contract with the club just last week, Malone could be forgiven for thinking that first team opportunities could be more limited this coming season.

And the 26-year-old left-back has been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage this summer, with Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town thought to be keen on signing him.

The Terriers are looking to bolster their squad ahead of their first ever season in the Premier League and rumours have suggested that a deal could be close.

Malone, who has only been with the Cottagers for one season, would be a big loss to Fulham, having chipped in with six goals and three assists last term.
