Max Power has announced that he wants to leave Wigan Athletic and play in the Championship.
Power was part of the Latics side that was relegated to League One last season and he has admitted that he was to play at the highest level possible, with the midfield man keen to join a Championship side this summer.
The 24-year-old revealed on his Facebook page yesterday that he had been "removed" from Wigan's squad by manager Paul Cook and told that he "will not play for the club again while the transfer window is open".
Power has previously been linked with a move to Brentford, although those rumours were quashed, but with the midfielder openly admitting that he would welcome a move to a Championship side, the rumours of a move to Griffin Park have surfaced once more.
Burton Albion are also thought to be interested in the man who only missed four Championship games with the Latics last season.
