Burnley have joined the race to sign QPR left-back Jake Bidwell, according to reports from The Mirror.

The defender, who joined the club from rivals Brentford just one year ago, has also been linked with a reunion with former-boss Mark Warburton at Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.

It's thought that Sean Dyche is keen to add another left-back to his ranks, and has also been linked with a move for Middlesbrough defender George Friend.

Bidwell was a first-team regular last season, but could be swayed by the opportunity to ply his trade at the top level of English football, while a move to Turf Moor would allow him to move closer to the north-west.

However it remains to be seen whether he is deemed to be a dispensible member of Ian Holloway's squad, as he looks to strengthen ahead of the new season.
