QPR chances of landing fans favourite Clint Hill for a second time depend on whether Rangers are willing to rip up his one-year deal at Ibrox in January.

The 38-year-old veteran moved north when his Loftus Road deal ran out in the summer.

However, QPR need a changing room lift as heads have predictably dropped in a pointless run of five games and one goal.

Let go along with seven others, Get West London has learned Hoops sounded Hill out about what he could do for an ailing side as coach and player.

Boss: Mark Warburton

The veteran defender spent six years in W12, totting up 169 appearances and five goals.

Former Brentford boss Mark Warburton wanted experience in his promoted side, and Hill became the oldest debutant in Rangers history at 37 years, 274 days against Annan Athletic in a League Cup match in July.

He has gone on to make 14 more appearances, scoring three goals and suffering a red card against Aberdeen at the beginning of the month.

Warburton opted for age by signing expensive ex-Rs veterans Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar as well, and it quickly became an experiment that promised more than it delivered.

Hill and Warburton share the same agent, Stellar run by Jonathan Barnett, that should be able to smooth any tricky negotiations.
