Potential suitors Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus and Napoli are all waiting to pounce if Chelsea fail to secure midfield target Franck Kessié, according to the Italian media.

An article in the La Repubblica national newspaper claims the bevy of big clubs are tracking the progress of the Ivorian's talks with Chelsea .

Manager Antonio Conte reportedly wants to bring in the 20-year-old Atalanta midfielder, who is part of the Ivory Coast squad which will start their 2017 African Cup of Nations campaign in Oyem, Gabon, against Togo on Monday.

Kessié will not be rushed into a snap decision, according to his agent George Atangana, and his Bergamo-based club are keen to retain his services for the rest of the season.

La Repubblica 's article quotes Atangana as saying: “For us the most important thing is that the [footballing] project is the right one. Franck is very young and we must pay heed to his development. The Chelsea opportunity is very interesting, and they are a big club, but we will take our time and consider all the options.”
