It's going to take money, a whole lotta spending money - as George Harrison once sang - to snare Brentford target Ollie Watkins.

The man currently in charge of the exciting young Exeter striker doesn’t believe Bees want to cough up the £1.5 million asking price, and what’s more, Paul Tisdale isn’t in the mood to sell.

After knocking Brentford out of the EFL Cup 1-0, he intends to rebuff all attempts to take Watkins away as well.

The 20-year-old laid on the City winner after a brilliant take to feed scorer Ryan Harley.

Meet the man himself, below, and marvel at his talents.

And money will speak, actually scream, to a hard-up League Two club, but Tisdale is confident his man will be at St James Park when the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

“I don’t think he had his best day against Brentford, but I don’t see him moving, and that’s not just a manager playing the game,” the manager said.

“We’re building a team for the season and he’s a part of that.

Hats yer lot: Paul Tisdale

“It’s not a topic in the boardroom or the manager’s office. I’ll reiterate, we don’t want him to go, and he won’t be going.

“You’re the first person to ask that question in a couple of weeks, and any offer would have to be considerable - and I don’t think it’s going to be considerable.”
