Queens Park Rangers are yet to respond after receiving a second bid from Everton for young midfielder Josh Bowler, Get West London understands.

The West London side rejected an initial bid, rumoured to be £500k rising to £3m, on Tuesday for the highly-rated 17-year-old, but the Toffees appear determined to secure the youngster.

Bowler made his first-team debut for QPR on the final day of the season as they lost 4-0 to Norwich City at Carrow Road.

The midfielder put pen to paper on his first professional contract in February, a deal which runs until the summer of 2018.

He has been at the club since August 2013 and his been tipped to play an increased role for Ian Holloway's side in the upcoming campaign.
