Boss Harry Redknapp insists he won’t be rushing into spending his transfer kitty this summer as QPR prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Bobby Zamora scored the goal to restore their top-flight status at Wembley on Saturday as Rangers bounced back at the first attempt.

It is a goal thought to be worth around £134million to Rangers but they are facing a hefty fine of up to £50million for failing to comply with financial guidelines.

The west London outfit recorded a loss of £65.4m for the period ending May 2013, however Malaysian owner Tony Fernandes is vowing to fight the impending sanctions.

Going up via the play-offs has put Redknapp’s rebuilding plans behind schedule and he wants a short break away from the club before embarking on the next challenge.

He hasn’t even thought about the structure of his squad yet but won’t be making panic buys.

Bundle: Sheer joy as Rangers clinch promotion

“I’ve got a really good group,” Redknapp said. “We’re not just going to bring players in willy-nilly. If anyone comes in they’ve got to be the right character and come in and do a job for the team.

“Phil [Beard] does the wages, I couldn’t tell you the wages of any of the players at the club. I just know one or two are out of contract. I know Bobby’s out of contract. There’s eight players on loan here and all of their loans are up now.”

Zamora is in fact just one of eight out-of-contract stars at Loftus Road.

Out of contract: Rob Green's deal is expiring

Rob Green, Armand Traore, Jermaine Jenas, Andy Johnson, Ale Faurlin, Luke Young and Stephane Mbia are all coming to the end of their deals.

Mbia was out on loan at Sevilla, with Julio Cesar, Park Ji-sung, Adel Taarabt, Samba Diakite, Esteban Granero and Loïc Remy all in similar situations having been at other clubs.

Loanees Ravel Morrison, Benoît Assou-Ekotto, Niko Kranjcar, Kevin Doyle, Tom Carroll, Aaron Hughes, Modibo Maïga and Will Keane are all due back at their respective parent clubs.

Given that long list of players, Redknapp looks to have his work cut out this summer and is only just getting ready to think about who he wants to keep and who he is prepared to lose.

“I’ve not even thought about a player yet,” he added. “I’ve not even thought about what player [we are going to need to bring in] because you just don’t know where you’re going to be.

“I don’t know [about players coming back from loan]. I don’t see Loic Remy’s wanting to come back. I think he’s talking about wanting to play Champions League somewhere. I know he’s got a buy-out clause which I think is reasonable enough.

“Mbia has done well at Seville, so he’s another player. Taarabt - what happens to him? We just don’t know.”
