Port Vale have signed QPR midfielder Axel Prohouly on loan until the end of the season, a day after they signed Olamide Shodipo in a temporary switch.

The 19-year-old, who is yet to make a first team appearance at Loftus Road, first joined the RS in 2015 on a free transfer from Monaco.

Last season, Prohouly played 18 times for the Under-21's, scoring five goals and earning a call up to the Rangers first team at the end of the 2015/16 season.

QPR director of football Les Ferdinand has big hopes for the midfielder and believes he needs exposure to first team football in order to prepare himself for the rigours of the Championship.

Prohouly will reunite with some familiar faces in Sebastien Amoros and Anthony de Freitas who also learnt their trade at Monaco.

Meanwhile, Osman Kakay has joined Chesterfield on loan until the end of the season.
