QPR are finding the going tough to get Danny Ward from Rotherham - but have an iron in the fire at Manchester United for Sean Goss.

The 21-year-old can slot in midfield or left-back although he's yet to make a senior debut with other Championship clubs apparently interested to take the German-born player.

Rangers are ready to up the £1.2m bid already in for Ward as they look to replace departed Sebastian Polter.

Enquiry: Sean Goss

The spanner in any works would be the sale by the struggling Millers to another Championship side - only just out of recent doldrums themselves.

However, Ward is in the final year of his contract and keen to remain in the second tier at least.

As a result, the Yorkshire born player has attracted interested from a bevy of second tier clubs including Sheffield Wednesday, Derby and Wolves.

He’s scored 10 in 27 appearances this term - not bad for a club propping up the rest.
