QPR have reportedly tabled a bid for Icelandic £1million rated international Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.

For once, a player from that country will not seem as obscure as he might have been two months ago.

Bodvarsson was the man who slid home his country's first goal against Austria in Euro 2016 to set up an improbable tie with England that did for former Fulham boss Roy Hodgson.

Rs have apparently made an offer to the 24-year-old's club, German club Kaiserslautern.

Talks between Hoops and the Bundesliga club are at an advanced stage it seems for a midfielder cum forward who played in all five of Iceland’s matches including their victory over England.

He only joined the Kaiserslautern in January, but will be allowed to leave if the money is right.
