QPR have been linked with a move for former Barcelona and Brazil superstar Ronaldinho - once considered the best player in the world.

The 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year has represented Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro in his home country since leaving AC Milan in 2011, but is is looking for a new club after leaving Mineiro.

Reports originating in the Brazilian press, and now picked up  by The Express and Metro over here, claim the 34-year-old is open to a move to Loftus Road.

A supposed factor in Ronaldinho being willing to relocate to West London is the presence of Brazilian pal Julio Cesar at the club.

Redknapp has also reportedly identified Colombian World Cup striker Carlos Sanchez as a potential target, and is apparently willing to sanction a £4million bid for the 28-year-old, who was rumoured to be a target for Everton earlier this summer, according to the Mirror.

Another player Redknapp could have his eye on is Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena, a target for the Rs' boss's former club West Ham.

The 29-year-old France international midfielder is available for around £7million and is keen on a move to Spain, but that will not put off the London clubs, according to the Daily Mail.
