Armand Traore has put pen to paper on a new contract with QPR.
The Senegalese international has signed a two year extension, tying him to the club until the summer of 2016, just as we told you back in May.
Traore – who has made 58 starts and 18 substitute appearances for the R’s, scoring two goals – follows Clint Hill and Alejandro Faurlin in signing new deals in W12 following their promotion to the Premier League.
Traore says he is delighted to prolong his stay in west London and told the club's website: “I am so happy to have my future sorted out.
“I wanted to stay at QPR and now this is done I can fully concentrate on the challenge that lies ahead.
“I am fully focused on the start of the Premier League season – I’m really looking forward to it.”
Traore believes he is reaching a pivotal chapter in his career and can’t wait to play on the biggest stage of them all once again with QPR.
He said: “Next season is an extremely important one for me, added to the fact we’re back in the Premier League.
“I want to show what I can do in the best league in the world for QPR – that’s what it’s all about.
“I’m 24 now – it’s time to wake up and do something serious.”
QPR are expected to complete the signing of former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand next week and have also had a bid for Steven Caulker accepted by Cardiff City.
