There has been no late approach for Loic Remy from Arsenal - and QPR are doubly confident their striker is staying with the club.

Harry Redknapp earlier supposed the £10m Frenchman was unlikely to quit the club days before the transfer window shuts on Monday, but was doing it with fingers crossed.

Remy made it plain he would only leave Hoops for Champions League football and after his protracted move to Liverpool broke down, the odds on a club coming in for him shortened until Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud broke his leg against Everton last weekend.

However, Redknapp believes he has kept his man, at least until the next transfer window in January.

He said: “As far as I know, there has been no offers for him, and we’re hoping he’ll be here.

“Arsenal have had plenty of time to come on if they wanted to come on, and nothing’s happened.”
