QPR could use Karl Henry as a makeweight in their bid to sign Norwich City star Leroy Fer.

Rangers had an offer rejected for the Holland international earlier this week but remain keen to bring the 24-year-old to Loftus Road.

Fer still has three years left on his contract at Carrow Road but wants to quit the club following relegation to the Championship.

Norwich have shown an interest in Henry and the 31-year-old could be used as bait as the R's try to strike a deal for Fer.

Henry featured 29 times for the Hoops last season as they gained promotion back to the Premier League.

However, with a raft of signings expected in the next month, the former Wolves general could find himself down the pecking order in W12.
