Fulham target Marcelo Djalo is set to undergo his Fulham medical this week ahead of a move from Lugo to Craven Cottage.

GetWestLondon understands that the 23-year-old is in London ahead of a medical, which is due to take place this week as Fulham look to bolster their defensive options.

Despite suggestions he would be an U23 signing, we have learned that Djalo is being signed with the view he would be in the first team and would join his team mates in the first team training squad once the transfer is complete.

He played 25 times for Lugo last season, scoring two goals as they finished they finished ninth in the Spanish Segunda Division, winning 14 matches while losing 15.

Fulham returned to pre-season training today (Monday) as the club start preparations for next season, before they fly out to Poland on July 3 for their first training camp.
