Rene Meulensteen hopes to make further signings this month to boost Fulham's survival hopes.

The Cottagers have already brought in Clint Dempsey on loan from MLS side Seattle Sounders and have been linked with a string of other names.

And boss Meulensteen says he is stepping up his search to bolster his squad for the second half of the season.

"Behind the scenes people are working hard seeing what's out there and what's available," said the Dutchman after Fulham's FA Cup draw at Norwich .

"There's not a number on it. We've got to make sure the people we do bring in are right to help us secure our Premier League status and beyond that."
