Fulham manager Felix Magath expects a busy few days as the transfer window prepares to slam shut.

The Whites have had a poor start to the Championship season and are in need of reinforcements as they search for their first league win.

Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Cardiff City showed there are signs of promise but Fulham are still in need of a few more experienced heads to help out their young guns.

Monday night’s deadline is approaching fast and Magath is working against the clock to bring in new faces and move on the club’s big earners Bryan Ruiz and Kostas Mitroglou.

In the market: Felix Magath

Magath said: “We have some players who will leave and then I need new players.

“I’m sure we will sign two or three new players at the beginning of next week and then I can tell you my best team.

“I think [Kostas] Mitroglou will go but I don’t know, I’m not the man who contacts the clubs. I know only a little bit more than you.

“It is not my first job building a new team. This is a difficult situation and I can understand some fans are afraid.

“Last season we were relegated and now at the beginning we are down at the bottom.

“I can understand their fear and I’m not glad about this but it was necessary for this Club to start again from the beginning and that is what I’ve done.”

Meanwhile, Magath has insisted he is the man to lead Fulham back into the Premier League despite coming under fire from sections of the club’s supporters.
